Talking about privacy issues, I'm guessing that not all social networks can protect the user's personal information fully. Sometimes, the systems itself doesn't function well. With a lot of expertise or first-class hackers out there, I don't think social networks these days are that safe anymore. A lot of cases happened due to this matter and it really concerns me in posting my personal information in the internet.
I heard from a friend that there's a case where there's a couple broke up their relationship due to personal matters and, the guy who seeks for revenge went through his ex-girlfriend's personal information in the Facebook; killed her through the address given in her account.
Not just that. I have a friend who has a Facebook account, her pictures in her album were all taken by some of our junior high school student who turns out to be her biggest fan. He stalks her (everyday I guess) and save every one of her pictures into his album without her knowing it. That's crazy , I tell you. In the end, she reported it to the right authorities. So, what do you think about this?

A lot of people like to surf through the Net not only because of the variety of information and entertainment found online, but also the freedom and anonymity that you could only get there. Because of this many people behaves differently while online in comparison to real life.
ReplyDeleteOnline, many people, especially the timid ones, became more confident in interacting with people. However, some of these people decides to take advantage of this sense of freedom to commit crimes while being an anonymous on various websites. They especially like to take advantage of people who posts too much information about themselves and use it for their own selfish needs. Therefore, one needs to be careful with what they post online, especially in social networking sites such as Facebook, in order to prevent these problems from happening to them.
I guess that's why ACT114A was added in our country's law....
